I have recently established a new venture around digital storytelling. The service hopes to support individuals, community groups and small businesses to get their messages across to their different stakeholder groups effectively. From identifying their different stakeholders, understanding their key messages and finding methods and tools to tell their stories well to evaluating feedback and adjusting their messages accordingly.
My experience running a small art gallery in rural Scotland provided useful experience in this area as well as establishing and leading (with my partner Tim Gray) a local community arts group Creative Whithorn. Producing a constitution and website for the group was important in applying for funding and we used a range of methods to bring our story together – for funders, community artists, local people and broader audiences.
I have developed a website called Your Digital Story to support this work and will be offering a range of services, including website design and support, social media management and working with a partner FP Business Services to offer business consultancy and marketing services.
